What is an eSIM?

eSIM is a subscriber module built into a smartphone, which provides identification of the subscriber and access to his terminal subscriber device (hereinafter referred to as the "Device"). to the Mobiuz mobile network.

The ability to use eSIM is provided to individuals and legal entities, provided that they have a device that supports eSIM technology.

How to use the service?

In order to use the service, a new subscriber-an individual-must contact the company's own office with a device that supports eSIM technology and with an identity document for concluding a Contract for the provision of mobile communication services.

Also, current Mobiuz subscribers can replace their existing standard SIM card with an eSIM in the Company's own offices during a personal visit. To do this, you must have an eSIM-enabled device on which the subscriber plans to use the eSIM, and an identity document. When you replace it with an eSIM, the standard (previous) SIM card stops working.

In order to use the service, legal entities (or individual entrepreneurs) need to contact the Company's own office with the appropriate package of documents required to conclude a contract for the provision of mobile communication services:

The original application for activation (on the standard Mobiuz letterhead or on the company's letterhead).

A copy of the Registration Certificate (Guvokhnoma);

A copy of the Certificate of State registration as a value-added tax payer;

Original passport of the head of the company or authorized representative (a copy of the head's passport is required);

Power of attorney for an authorized representative.

An authorized representative of the organization must have an eSIM-enabled device on which the subscriber plans to use the eSIM.

How much does an eSIM connection cost?

Connection fee (nationwide): free of charge.

The cost of replacing the SIM card with an eSIM and replacing the eSIM with an eSIM is 20,000 sum.

In order to replace the SIM card with an eSIM, you will need to come to the Company's office with an identity document.

The SIM card is replaced only when a subscriber who has signed a Contract for the provision of mobile communication services personally applies.

Note:

  • Attention! The QR code of the eSIM profile is a one - time one. For the security of the subscriber's personal data, it cannot be reused.
  • In order to replace the SIM card, you will need to come to the Company's office with an identity document.
  • The SIM card is replaced only when a subscriber who has signed a Contract for the provision of mobile communication services personally applies.
  • If the subscriber is a legal entity, the SIM card is replaced on the basis of an official letter. If the subscriber is represented by his legal representative, the SIM card is replaced on the basis of a power of attorney containing a description of certain rights and actions granted by the principal in accordance with the procedure provided for by the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In such cases, the attorney, along with providing the original power of attorney, presents his passport.
  • The cost of the "Number recovery" service on eSIM is 21,000 UZS
  • In order to restore the number on the eSIM, you will need to come to the Company's office with an identity document.
  • The number is restored only when a subscriber with whom a Contract for the provision of mobile communication services has been concluded personally applies.

Note:

  • The "Number Recovery" service is implemented by entering into a new Contract with the subscriber.
  • The Subscriber does not have the right to transfer the right to use this service to another person.
  • The "Number Recovery" service is available only to the subscriber for whom the subscriber number was registered before the last termination of the agreement. The number is restored only to the person who owned the subscriber number before the termination of the subscription agreement. The number can be restored on the basis of a notarized power of attorney issued by a person to his lawyer, which must indicate the restored subscriber number and the name of the service.

Cost of the "Room renewal" service with eSIM :

  1. If the subscriber applies for the purpose of Reissuing the number to a new owner, provided that the number was previously connected to the eSIM and the subscriber uses the device to which the profile was previously uploaded, the cost of the "Reissue of the number" service will be-21000 UZS;
  2. If the subscriber applies to Reissue the number to a new owner and if the subscriber wants to download the eSIM profile to another device, it is necessary to "Replace the SIM" with a new one (since the profile is one-time and will not be valid (in case of reissue from eSIM to eSIM), a new eSIM profile is loaded).

Note:

  • Renewal of the number is performed in the presence of the current and new subscriber (or a representative by proxy from an individual of the current subscriber). Subscribers must have their original passports with them.
  • Applications for renewal of the phone number are considered by the Company within 10 calendar days from the date of their submission.

What is eSIM?

An eSIM is also a SIM card, but it is built into a smartphone and at the same time does everything the same as a regular one-it provides mobile communication and the Internet.

What is an eSIM profile?

The eSIM profile is the tariff settings for a number that can be downloaded via a QR code.

Can a single QR code work on multiple devices?

The QR code is a one-time unique eSIM profile and cannot be reused. This restriction is related to the security of the subscriber's personal data and does not allow third parties to re-use it for fraudulent purposes.

How many numbers can I connect to the eSIM?

You can connect up to 5 eSIM numbers (profiles) per device. The number of profiles on the eSIM depends on the device model (check the specifications or check out the manufacturer's official website).

What is the difference from a regular SIM card?

The eSIM cannot be removed, broken or lost, as it is built into the smartphone. You can set up to 5 numbers (profiles)per eSIM. At any time, you can choose which of the 5 numbers will be active through the settings in your smartphone.

Do I need to register the IMEI code when connecting the eSIM?

How do I register an IMEI code on an eSIM from a mobile device?

Is it necessary to have a physical SIM card to use the eSIM?

eSIM is an independent module and the presence of a SIM card in the smartphone is not necessary.

Are all mobile communication services for the SIM card supported for the eSIM as well?

Yes. eSIM completely replaces the SIM card and supports all mobile communication services.

Is there any protection on the eSIM?

The eSIM is protected by a smartphone lock. If your phone is lost or stolen, it will prevent intruders from accessing your phone number.

Does my device support eSIM?

To determine whether your smartphone supports eSIM technology, check the specifications of your device or read the official website of the manufacturer.

Can I install eSIM in my smartwatch?

Currently, connecting numbers to the eSIM in a smart watch is not available in Mobiuz offices.

In Mobiuz offices, you can connect eSIM numbers only to smartphones with officially declared support from the manufacturer of eSIM technology (to find out about the support of your eSIM device, check the device's specifications or read the official website of the manufacturer).

How do I enable eSIM?

To connect the eSIM, you need to contact the Mobiuz office with an identity document. Sel ect a room, rate, and make a payment. The operator will download the number (profile) with the tariff settings to your device by scanning the QR code. After that, the eSIM will be connected to your smartphone.

Can I connect the eSIM remotely?

At this stage, there is a test mode, and all work on connecting the eSIM takes place in MOBIUZ's own offices. This is the first stage. Next, we will definitely consider the possibility of providing subscribers with an eSIM remote connection.

Can I apply for an eSIM connection to a legal entity?

Can I use both eSIM and SIM card numbers at the same time?

Yes. You can choose which SIM card to use to make calls, send messages, and use the Internet.

Can the current SIM card number be transferred to the eSIM?

Will my pricing plan still work after switching fr om a SIM card to an eSIM?

Do I need an Internet connection for eSIM to work?

No. The eSIM works like a regular SIM card. The Internet is only needed during activation or deactivation of the eSIM.

Can I use the number (profile) on the eSIM on different devices?

No. The e-SIM profile is loaded once on one device. If you delete the profile fr om the device, you must contact the Mobiuz office with an identity document to reconnect the number (profile) to the eSIM.

If you need to use an eSIM number (profile) for another device, you must delete the number (profile) on the old device and order the current number with a new eSIM profile for the new device by contacting the Mobiuz office with an identity document.

What should I do if I deleted my eSIM profile by mistake?

If you accidentally deleted the eSIM profile on your device, you will need to contact the Mobiuz office with an identification document. You will be provided with a new QR code with the number. Important! The QR code is one-time and cannot be reused. What happens to my eSIM if I give my phone to another person?

If you sell or donate your smartphone to another person, the eSIM profile must be deleted. Otherwise, you will transfer your smartphone with your mobile number to the eSIM.

How do I block eSIM if my phone is lost? What if I don't plan to use the connection for a long time?

If you lose your smartphone with an eSIM number, call us at (+998) 97 130 09 09, 0890 or contact the Mobi office with an identification document.

If you want to disable eSIM for a while, do so in the device settings.
